Keeping the faith to fulfill the market and peopleâ € ™ s needs, Unison got certified to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001 and process design of medical device certification, ISO 13485.
As days gone by, Unison is now serving more than 45 countries and has become the top ranking medical group in Asia.

1955 Unison Company, Ltd. established in Taipei by Y.F. Shih
1955 Established Western Medicine Business Unit
1960 Acquired agency rights from western manufacturers such as Philips Duphar, Dolder, Dagra, etc.
1963 Established Medical Equipment Business Unit
1965 Acquired distribution agency right for Philips Medical Systems
1970 Acquired distribution agency right for Siemens Medical Systems
1971 Established customer service center in Taipei
1973 Introduced iodinator ( used in NASA space shuttles) to the domestic market; late President Yan granted an audience with US astronaut Walter M. Schirra.
1974 Acquired the agency rights from Peterson Farms to import chicken and pigs for domestic breeders.
1990 Adopted full computer management systems
1991 Established customer service center in Kaohsiung
1992 Established customer service center in Taichung
1994 Acquired agency rights from Wellhoefer Dosimetrie GmbH; Chi-Dau Shih appointed CEO of Unison
1995 Established customer service center in Chiayi; ( Commenced development and investment in the medical equipment BOT market; ( Acquired exclusive agency right for Liebel-Flarsheim Companyâ € ™ s auto injector;

2003 Completed the Positron Emission Tomography ( PET) center BOT project with Tri-Service General Hospital and received the National Biotechnology Medical Care Quality Award; ( Commenced the development and construction of the Pyongyang ( North Korea) project; ( Commenced the distribution of Siemens Sountex hearing aid;
2004 Took over Taiwan CTI Cyclotron maintenance service
2005 Took over Taiwan Sumitomo Cyclotron maintenance service; ( expanded the scale of distribution agency business with Philips Medical Systems
2006 Expanded Philips Ultrasound market and Philips CMS market ( together with Xin Ba Enterprise Corporation, Ltd.
2009 Acquired distribution rights from Intuitive Surgical Da Vinci Robotic System and IMRIS ( OR-MR) .
2010 Acquired distribution rights from Intrasense and Spectrum dynamics ( NM cardiac system) and J Morita Accuitom ( Cone Beam CT) .
2011 Certified to ISO 13485 international standard
2012 Acquired distribution rights from PTA by Bioteq and Orthopedic products by Wiltrom and Medtronic O-arm
2013 Acquired distribution rights from MAKO Surgical Corp. and EOS imaging
2014 Established collaborative relationship with GE Healthcare
2014 Acquired Taiwanese market dealership rights from Yaskawa Electric Corporation for the ReWalk Robotic Exoskeleton system, a commercial bionic walking assistance system that uses powered leg attachments to enable paraplegics to stand upright, walk and climb stairs.
