More than 8 billion of the 16 billion pounds of vinyl produced annually in the United States are used to manufacture construction products. More vinyl is used in construction than any other plastic because it is extremely durable and cost effective. This durability results in an important environmental benefit. The longer a product lasts, the greater the amount of energy and resources saved from the need to make and install replacement product. Even more important is the fact that Vinyl is inert and 100% recyclable.
Vinyl Sheet Piling
The inherent characteristics of vinyl make it an ideal
material for sheet piling. The applications where sheet piling is used are brutal and unforgiving⦠heavy loads, salt water, marine borers,
corrosive chemicals, and so on. Traditional materials such as treated wood, concrete, and steel, simply don' t last; vinyl does. Our ShoreGuard Vinyl Sheet Piling is made with more than 90% recycled content. Only the exterior of the product has virgin vinyl material. We do this with a proprietary technology called XCR. This technology utilizes two separate extrusion machines to
orient all the virgin material in the
exterior of the finished product.

The XCR Technology solves this problem with a specially formulated virgin material on the exterior of the finished product that guarantees weatherability, and therefore the long-term performance of the product.â
