Lukoil is among the worldâ € ™ s largest oil companies, with 150, 000 employees in 30 countries. In 2005, Lukoilâ € ™ s sales were $ 55.8 billion.

Lukoil has the worldâ € ™ s second largest oil reserves, and is the sixth largest oil producer. The company controls about 1.3% of the worldâ € ™ s oil reserves and 2.1% of its oil production.

In 2002, Lukoil became the first Russian company to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. The companyâ € ™ s strategic partner is ConocoPhillips in the United States, which owns 18.7 per cent of Lukoilâ € ™ s shares.
