1955 TAMEK, which is one of the leading brands in Turkish food sector, was founded on 31 March 1955 in Bursa-Demirta_. TAMEK is the abbreviation of Tà ¼ rk Alman Meyve Ekstreleri Kumpanyas1 ( The Company of Turkish-German Fruit Extracts) . During 1950s, when the advance of the industry gained speed, the expected performance of ready-food production could not be achieved. Since modern production technologies were not available those days, Mehmet Sipahio lu founded TAMEK with the technological cooperation of Germans. One year later, the Germans withdrew from partnership and TAMEK has been a 100% Turkish food producer in the market. 1958 TAMEK produced the first ketchup and tomato juice. 1959 TAMEK produced the first Turkish ready-food and â dolmaâ ( stuffed vine leaves and green peppers) . 1963 In its first factory in Bursa-Demirta_, TAMEK produced the first fruit juices, which were put on sale in their famous brown bottles. 1974 TAMEK produced the first boiled legumes in Turkey. 1987 TAMEK began the production in Bursa-Karacabey factory. The production included tomato paste, canned vegetables, peas, jams, fruit extracts and marmalade. 1992 TAMEK produced the first diabetic jam of Turkey. 1993 TAMEK produced the first canned fruit juice of Turkey. 1994 TAMEK began the production in Bal1kesir â K1z1ksa factory. Since 1994, the production of tomato paste, â salà § ac1kâ , purà © es, fruit extracts, ketchup and mayonnaise has been going on. 2000 TAMEK produced the first tomato/ pepper paste in carton package. 2001 The first factory of TAMEK in Bursa-Demirta_was transformed into a complex producing fruit juices only. 2002 TAMEK began the production in Manisa - Salihli factory. This factory has been producing tomato/ pepper paste, boiled legumes, ready-foods and dolma, canned okra and fruit extracts. 2003 Together with six new kinds of fruit juices, TAMEK produced the first TAMEK PLUS Orange-Carrot-Lemon juice with vitamin A-C-E. In this way, TAMEK changed the long-lasting Turkish habit of consuming only cherry, apricot or peach juices. 2005 TAMEK used â Body Sleeveâ packages for ketchup and mayonnaise fort he first time. 2006 TAMEK produced the first additive-free canned vegetables of Turkey. 2007 TAMEK launched the first heart-friendly, 100% Orange juice which is quite rich in potassium. According to a study of Nielsen titled â First Brands that Comes to Mindâ , TAMEK is chosen as the â First Leading Brand that Comes to Mindâ in the categories of Fruit Juice and Jam. 2008 Bursa â Karacabey factory started producing fruit juices with the modern production lines. 2010 TAMEK launched TAMEK PLUS 7+ 7 Mix Fruit Juice. 2011 TAMEK launched Teen cantaloupe- apple and strawberry beverage. TAMEK Premium Jar series were added to products. Breakfast sauces were added to Kahvalt1m family. 2012 TAMEK ^ efim brand has been launched. " Traditional " group was added to paste group. 100% Peach-Apple, 100% Apricot-Apple were added to fruit juice groups; Mandarin was added to Teen group. The products in Plus group were transferred to Kahvalt1m family. For 57 years, Turkeyâ s leading food producer TAMEK has been continuing producing healthy foods for new generations.
