LOW PROFILE VEST
Design Features:
Tabard style Vest with protection panels to cover the front, back, shoulders, neck and groin. The Garment design allows for interchange ability and upgrading of Armor protection levels
according to the customer' s requirements.
Special Features:
The Vest provides upper body protection to the central abdominal organs; heart, liver, kidney and spleen. Velcro adjustment on sides and shoulders allows variation of 10cm in waist size and 5cm in
garment length.
Flexibility and low weight enables the jacket to be worn comfortably for long periods of duty without restricting wearer manoeuvrability. Neck and groin protection panels are detachable.
Outer Garment:
The outer garment is washable and made with high quality 500D Nylon Cordura fabric that is specially treated to be water repellent, and abrasion resistant.
The innermost layer is made with â 3-D air meshâ fabric, which draws perspiration away from the wearerâ s body and facilitates airflow to ensure maximum comfort. All camouflage designs and solid colours can be mimicked to suit customer requirements.
Lumbar Support
An integrated Body Belt greatly improves the ergonomic characteristics of the Vest and provides continuous comfort during lengthy periods of wear. Independent medical consultants have endorsed the Body Belt feature
Armor Panels
The Armor Panels are made with Light Weight UDX which is uni-directional Aramid fibre laminated together with thermoplastic adhesives. This unique solution provides extremely flexible ballistic
protection in accordance with NIJ 0101.04 Area of Density: -
1) NIJ IIIA ( 9mm and .357 Magnum) - 3.50 kg/ m²
2) NIJ IIIA ( .357 Magnum and 44 Magnum) - 5.40 kg/ m²
The panels are encapsulated in waterproof and UV lightproof Nylon fabric that is vacuum-sealed with ultrasonic welding.
