Elasto Base is a viscous liquid consisting of
silicates and special biochemical proprietary
chemicals. This product is used as a penetrating
sealer/surface hardener on concrete to improve its
resistance to the ingress of liquid water and
contaminants. Elasto Base is a non-toxic,
environmentally safe masonary penetrant, hardening
and waterproofing treatment for concrete flooring. It
works by penetrating the concrete surface and reacting
with the composition of the concrete internally to fill
pore spaces and voids. Chemically, ElastoBase
increases concrete strength by replacing soluble lime
content with calcium silicate hydrate. By this process,
the surface is rendered less permeable by moisture,
problem alkalinity is reduced, and the density of the
concrete is increased. Also, chemical resistance is
improved by making the surface less porous.
After spraying this product you should use 3 —day
watering process (spray water 3 times at 24 hours
interval). The product penetrates and reacts with the
concrete forming a sub-surface barrier,
waterproofing pores, capillaries and larger cracks
against the ingress of water and contaminants. It
reacts with free Calcium and water to form a nonwater
soluble Calcium Silicate Hydrate gel complex
in pore capillaries and cracks. This gel creates a
sub-surface barrier.

APPLICATION
1. ELASTO BASE must be applied to a clean, dry,
dust-free concrete surface, at least 28 days old.
Plastered Surfaces may be treated after 7 days.
2. Any materials that retard penetration should be
removed
3. Where segregation or voids are apparent, chip out,
spray with Elasto Base, and then make good with
cementations materials.
4. Good concrete practice should be followed such as
adequate curing, compaction, and vibration
5. Old or carbonated concrete requires Elasto Guard
treatment to reinstate free Calcium
6. Do not apply where ambient temperatures are above
+40°C
Application Method
1. Locate all cracks and spray with solution ensuring
they are flooded with product.
2. Elasto Base can be diluted with ordinary water &
spray 3-4 times to increase penetration.
3. Apply the solution to the remaining area at a rate of
between 3-4 sq.m per liter.
4. When surface becomes touch dry-(usually 2-6
hours depending on wind conditions and ambient
temperature) flood spray the treated areas with
water.
5. On day 2 -24 hours later water again.
6. On day 3 -24 hours later water again.
7. It is advisable that after the third watering, pond the
area for a minimum of I 2 hours to check leakage.

COVERAGE:
Normal: I liter for 30 sq. ft. Smooth, dense: 1 liter for
35 sq. ft. surfaces
Rough, Porous Surface: down to I liter to 25 sq. ft.

meters is recommended.
