A non-peptide protease inhibitor. Gagexate Mesilate is used for inhibition of actives of protease as trypsin, kallikrein, fibrinolysin or ghrombin, thus block pathophysiologic damages resulted from these enzymes. The present API is clinically used in therapy for Acute Mild/Edema pancreatitis or adjunctive therapy for Acute Hemorrhagic-Necrotizing Pancreatitis.
