Durkeesox blends itself into terrace ceiling in the hall of China University of Geosciences

Jiangcheng academy of China University of Geosciences, sits at the foot of Qinglong mountain, Jiangxia District, Wuhan city, is one of the first “ 211� universities in China.
The hall is in quarter-round layout, almost 1000 square meters, of which the seats are arranged in arc, decreasing in height all the way from the walls to the rostrum. With curved terrace ceiling decorated by lamps on each layer, this is a typical layout of hall for conference.
However, When It came to the HVAC system design and installation, they faced a perplexing problem, i.e. the traditional metal ductwork just could not work with this decoration style. The reason? They are as follows.
1, if the ductworks are to be installed on the open space just against the ceiling, surely they would disturb the designed lighting effect;
2, if they go for suspended ceiling, the existing ceiling height would be lowered a lot, and the design is difficult, installation is hard, cost is high.
3, more importantly, the ceiling height is considerable at the rostrum area which simply requires a rather far air throw, and the ordinary medal diffusers just can not possibly make it.
Seeing all these, after a thorough calculation and check up, DurkeeSox technology center brought out a comfortable long-throw air dispersion solution: that is, run a DurkeeSox ductwork along the corner between wall and ceiling, in a color same as the ceiling. This layout will save space from the open ceiling and harmonize with decoration style in color. Since the ductwork is 30m away from rostrum, we designed a row of large orifices on duct pointing to rostrum, and rows of orifices varying in size to evenly deliver airflow to different auditorium areas. In this way, a simple ductwork could deliver the conditioned air to every corners of the hall in large air supply coverage area and long air throw, via a unique air dispersion mode of orifices in various sizes, what is more, the ductwork is condensation free itself without insulation.
Upon the project acceptance, during the long-distance air dispersion test, the owner surprisingly enjoyed the cooling sensation originated from nozzles on Durkeesox ductwork 40m away, could not help expressing great approval towards the whole air dispersion effect brought by Durkeesox system.
Not only the visual appearance and air dispersion effect are presented as the excellent characteristics of Durkeesox ductwork, but dominant advantages on installation and cost saving etc aspects: thanks to the special fabric material constructed of Durkeesox system , our ductwork is very light in weight, only dozens of kilo for the whole hall, not needing large falsework and hanger rod, using double-row steel cable and fast suspension system, without welding, painting or percussion drilling etc destructive operations, taking just one day to complete the whole system installation. And the design of the whole air dispersion system is rather simple, replacing several metal ductworks and many diffusers mounted in the terrace ceiling via a single Durkeesox ductwork. The project cost is estimated to drop by 50% .
Therefore, in various large conference hall etc projects, due to the characteristic of long air throw and overall uniform air distribution, we see an outstanding application advantages of Durkeesox fabric ductwork.
