Sodium formate have two kinds : synthetic method and by-product
1.Product Introduction:
This product is a chalkiness powder with water absorbing performance and slight formic acid odor , soluble in water , glycerol , slightly soluble in ethanol , not soluble in ether .Its melting point is 253 .
2.Use :
1. Mainly applied to the manufacture of formic acid and oxalic acid , as well as to the manufacture of dimethyl formamide .
2. Sodium formate drilling fluid system is a kind of drilling & completion fluid system that has semipermeable membrane effect. It can form solid-free drilling mud system with other chemical additives in petroleum drilling. It can make the mud be in high density and low viscocity, raise the drilling speed, protect the oil-gas layer, resist landslide and prolong the service life of the bit and the well. It is a kind of advanced and environment friendly material in oil-gas exploiting technology area.
The using of sodium formate mud is beneficial to stabilize the shale, decrease the damage to the rock stratum, ensure the well drilling and completion be in the best working state.
