Ceftiofur is a third -generation cephalosporin antibiotic active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including -lactamase-producing strains. Ceftiofur is used as a veterinary drug to treat respiratory disease in cattle ( including lactating cows) , swine, sheep, and horses and also has been approved for foot rot infections in cattle and for the control of early poult mortality in day-old turkeys.

cefquinome: IT is lactam antimicrobial, which is the 4th generation cephalosporin with antimicrobial activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial species.
