The combination of high open area and a non-plugging slot design makes these strainer applications popular. Typical filter strainers are fabricated with a blind cap on one end and washer fixed with a threaded stem on the other end. Filter strainer can be made with many different slot sizes and body configurations to suit specific flows or media retention.
