Established Taiwan Hsing Yeh Corp. by Japanese government in 1918.

â € ¢ Established Taiwan Paper Industry Corp. in 1949. There were six produced mills including Lo-Tung mill, Ta-Du mill, Shing-Ing mill, Hsiao-Gung mill, Shi-Lin mill, and Lin-Ten-san forest farm mill .
â € ¢ Taiwan Paper Industry Corp. was changed the name as Taiwan Chung Hsing paper corp. and under the Provincial government in 1959. It was the only one governmentâ € “ owned paper manufacturing enterprise in Taiwan..

â € ¢ Installed the No. 9 machine in 1979, and itâ € ™ s annual production capacity reached 50, 000 tons.

â € ¢ Installed the No.10 newsprint machine in Mar. 1984, and itâ € ™ s annual production capacity reached 110, 000 tons.

â € ¢ Ministry of Economic Affairs took over the company in 1999, and the company became one of state-owned enterprises.
â € ¢ The company was privatized and changed the name as Hsing Chung Paper Corp. in Oct. 16, 2001, and all the company' s employees, with the minimum investment in new company, were to be the new shareholders also.
