Started as a small family-owned business in the seventies, dealing with switches, light bulbs and other electrical components from a humble shop in Surabaya, Indonesia. During the 1980s industrial boom, the business expanded and modified to deal with OEM products, both electrical and electronics. In the year 1988, P.T Hemel Electric was offered distributorship by Omron, Japan and officially became the Authorized Distributor of Omron in Indonesia. In the same year, Jakarta became home to our headquarters.
