Main use: cure PE( Premature Ejaculation) . Dapoxetine was originally an
antidepressant and one of the side effects of several antidepressants
is retarded ejaculation ( an inability to reach orgasm) , inability to
sustain an erection or impotence.
Mechanism: Dapoxetine, a new antidepressant, has been found to be safe
and effective for the treatment of premature ejaculation. It is a
short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor ( SSRI) with a
short half-life developed specifically for the treatment of men with PE.
Dapoxetine has inhibitory effects on serotonin reuptake and the time to
maximal plasma concentration is only 1 hour.
Dosage: 60-100mg/ day
