For the sake of the unfamiliar, the trochus shell is a tropical marine shell which lives on the reef flats and in crevasses or reef cracks. It survives better in areas which are exposed to much wave action (sign of strength) rather than areas with calm or still waters.
The shell is of a high quality texture (refer to image), much thicker than most other marine or fresh water molluscs with a distinctive and very beautiful shiny lustre to the polished surface.
At low tide, on a bright moonlight night, the shell would appear on the reef flats, to the naked eye, resemblance of a pyramid like object standing magestically and mysteriously in the distance.
Is it not so that the significance of the triangular shape has been for thousands of years associated with oneness, the unity of body, mind & soul. It has also signified strength, unity and freedom.
