This new Tour Mate (a new GPS-based Personal Travel Assistant product) which is able to protect the users from getting lost, and will be able to bring us lots of fun from the modern GPS related technologies. Basically this product has four versatile functions of Location Finder, Data Logger, Photo Tagger and G-mouse:

• Location Finder: With its eight LEDs, Tour Mate directs you to reach the locations that you have saved in its flash memory. Saved information can be car and/or hotel positions etc. By uploading your favorite locations, Tour Mate automatically searches them in the virtual map to come up with directions to guide you.

• Data Logger: As your travel companion, Tour Mate offers simultaneous use of received real-time GPS data and logs them into the flash memory to record where you have been. In addition, Tour Mate is able to record POIs (point of interest) for further applications with GPS-related software.

• Photo Tagger: With installation of Photo Tagger software, Tour Mate shows you the locations where you have taken the photos of. The added information enhances record of your memorable travel especially when you share your memories with others!

• G-mouse: Working with a laptop and electronic map software, Tour Mate becomes your personal navigator.

You must be aware that nowadays GPS products are getting more and more popular, but due to the constraints from the high-cost, size and battery limitation, often the products need to be installed on vehicles. In addition, the map software needed by the GPS gadgets is causing inconvenience too. For instance, if you are located in Australia and you are traveling to USA then you will need to buy and install the map software for USA beforehand.
