Lembaga Pendidikan Indonesia-Amerika, better known as LPIA, provides courses of English and computers to people. It has existed for more than 16 years serving 35, 000 students

in 64 LPIA branches in Java, Bali, and Kalimantan ( more to come in Sumatra) . Drs. H.M. Ali Badarudin SH. ( the President Director) established LPIA in 1992 in Jakarta with the operating license from the Department of Education of the Republic of Indonesia # 14145/ PLSM/ I/ 1-435/ VIII/ 1992. It employs around 300 branch managers, accountants, marketing officers, front-officers and around 1, 000 instructors spread out in branches in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bogor, Bekasi, Central Java, East Java, Bali and Kalimantan areas. Based in Graha LPIA building located on Perkantoran Mall Klender Jl. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Blok B3 No. 16 - 18, Klender, East Jakarta, LPIA is a healthy educational institution with its monthly gross income of Rp. 1, 200, 000, 000, 00. LPIAâ € ™ s FAIES English teaching method with its proprietary language laboratory and CIA computer system are the things separate it from others running the same kind of business.

LPIA applies the FAIES ( First Aid In English System) teaching method which later turns to be the NEW FAIES.

The original FAIES, which was formed by the Drs. HM. Ali Badarudin SH., 14 years ago, has undergone some changes adjusted to the modern ways of English teaching. It comprises of the communicative, direct, oral, and aural approaches. Basically, students are geared to master the skills with real objects by avoiding translation. Teachers use correct English grammar, stressing on good pitch, intonation, pronunciation, to make students be able to apply the English in real life situations. The LPIA computer trainings use the CIA ( Computer Integrated Abilities) teaching method where students learn the theories, practices, developments of the skills, by integrating applications useful for real life situations. What makes the LPIAâ € ™ s teaching method different from others is that the LPIA teachers teach the skills, of using English and computers, instead of the science to its students
