DESCRIPTION Enretech Acid is a natural cellulose product for the absorption, and encapsulation of most acidic liquids without significant splattering or heating. Once contained, the damp waste can be safely handled and removed for disposal. However, the resulting waste remains a hazardous material and must be handled in accordance with accepted emergency response procedures. APPLICATION Acid Absorbent is approximately 15 soda ash by weight, combined with an effective cellulose base that allows partial neutralisation of concentrated acids without spattering. The nature of the encapsulated acid is the decisive factor in determining disposal method. Always dispose of saturated sorbents in compliance with the appropriate governmental regulatitms for the particular liquids absorbed. Form a containment dyke around the spill using the Acid Absorbent 2. Once the spill has been contained ( using socks, if needed) , apply the Acid Absorbent or directly onto the collected liquid. The sorbent will absorb the liquid while suppressing vapours, without any violent reactions. 3. Once the spill is safely contained, the used sorbent can be removed for disposal in accordance with local, state or federal guidelines. 4. Care should be taken when dealing with any acid spill. Ensure appropriate protective equipment is worn while cleaning up these types of spills. Onl y suitably trained personnel should respond to spills involving strong acids 5. Always consult your spill response plan. If in doubt, vacate the area and allow your local hazmat team to deal with me spill.
