In 1992, Sunstar Electronic Co. Ltd was established in Hong Kong with its main business in development and research in lead acid batteries. In 2003, Sunstar Technologies Holdings Limited was set up as a group company with its two main shareholders Toyama Electronic Co, Ltd. and Sunstar Electronic Co. Ltd in Hong Kong. The company has mainly produced and sold the three different kinds of hi-tech products including Lead-acid batteries, Alarm systems and Electronic igniters. Since 2003, Sunstar devoted itself to research and development in the products and has done market jobs and offered after-sales services. We have 5 production bases in Mainland China where we have 3 factories to produce lead-acid batteries. The 5 produce bases are independent corporate bodies and all of them have been awarded with ISO9001, UL, CE, VdS and 3C certificates from the authoritative organizers.

In 2003, in order to meet the strong market requirement for lead-acid batteries with high quality but lower cost, Sunstar introduced some chemical microelement to be anticorrosive in battery plates, founded by an expert in electrochemistry called Professor Yoshida Masayoshi in Toyama University in Japan. In addition, Professor Yoshida Masayoshi offered us a kind of special additive in mixing lead paste so that the active material cannot drop off from grid after vibration for 3 times based on Japanese Industrial Standard ( JISC87-094) . Furthermore, we have been using the same technical process adopted by some well-known Japanese manufacturers to produce lead acid batteries from plate making and battery assembling so that all of our batteries are very stable and consistent in quality. We produce the lead acid batteries including SLA / AGM ( Sealed Lead Acid or Absorptive Glass Mat separator) batteries, and SLI ( Starting, Lighting and Ignition in automobiles and motorcycles) batteries, and GEL batteries.

In 2003, we set up a new hi-tech factory in the fields of burglar alarm systems. Now we offer ODM/ OEM service to sellers and manufacturers all over the world. In production and control process, we adopt the SMT of Japan. We use the strict ICT inspection to assure you that you can completely trust us in quality. It combines the GSM net digital mobile communication technology with alarm and security system technology. It is a new generation alarm system after the unidirectional alarm system and bi-directional alarm system

In 2004, Sunstar invested some amount of money to set up a new factory in Zhongshan to do R & D job in electronic igniters and started to produce the electronic igniters such as pulse igniters, microcomputer controllers, microcomputer flame testers, ignition transformers, and ignition poles specially designed for all kinds of gas or fuel equipment. In production, we adopt advanced SMT from Japan, and in quality control we have used Panasonic quality standard fro IQC, PQC and FQC for all of our ignition units.
