Tentang PT. Bank QNB Kesawan Tbk

Almost 100 years ago, in 1913, Khoe Tjin Tek and Owh Chooi Eng founded Chunghwa Shangyeh NV or The Chinese Trading Company Limited in Medan and became the Managing Director and the Chairman.

In 1958, Chunghwa Shangyeh NV had officially turned into a commercial bank, and in 1962 renewed its name to PT. Bank Chunghwa Shangyeh. In 1965 PT. Bank Chunghwa Shangyeh changed its name to PT. Bank Kesawan, to strengthen its banking position and business expansion. Bank Kesawan Headquarter was then relocated to Jakarta in 1990.

In 1995 Bank Kesawan obtained a Foreign Exchange Traders License and in 1996 upgraded to Foreign Exchange Bank and Tax Payment Bank. Despite the economic crisis in 1998, bank Kesawan was rated as one of the â € œ Aâ € banks by Bank Indonesia.

In 2009, through a Rights Issue Bank Kesawan conducted a Limited Public Offering I for 125, 304, 750 shares or valued at Rp. 40.097.520.000, -.

In 2011, through a Right Issue Bank Kesawan conducted a Limited Public Offering II for 2, 935, 263, 768 shares, valued at Rp. 733.815.942.000, and bought by Qatar National Bank S.A.Q, which affected the Bank capital and Bank ownership, including Controlling Shareholders .

As a result of this Limited Public Offering, Qatar National Bank S.A.Q has became the Bankâ € ™ s major shareholders that owns 69, 59% of the Bankâ € ™ s total shares.
