Itinerary:

DAY 01. ARRIVAL YOGYAKARTA – HOTEL – BOROBUDUR – SELO BASECAMP ( L)
Pick up service at Yogyakarta airport. Lunch served at local restaurant. Direct drive to Borobudur area ( 42 km NW of Yogya) . Upon arrival Check in at hotel. Afternoon tour to Borobudur temple to enjoy sunset from the highest terrace of the temple. Break time at hotel till evening at 2100 hrs, check out and depart to Selo basecamp, located at the foot of Mt. Merbabu. 2300 hrs start trekking up Mt. Merbabu ( 3.100 m) . Six hours trek up and 4 hours trek down.

DAY 02. MT. MERBABU TREKKING – SELO BASECAMP – YOGYA ( B)
By sunrise time reaching the peak of Mt. Merbabu. Trek down and return to Selo Basecamp. Breakfast served at basecamp. Relax before pack up and drive back to Yogyakarta. Upon arrival at Yogyakarta, transfer to hotel. Free program.

DAY 03. YOGYA – PRAMBANAN – SOLO - BROMO AREA ( BL)
Breakfast at hotel, check out and depart long journey to reach Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in East Java ( 9 – 10 hors drive) . On route, stop by at Prambanan temples compound, Sewu temples complex and Solo palace, known as another remaining Javanese culture center in Java. Lunch served at local restaurant. Late afternoon arrival at Bromo area, check in at hotel and free program.

DAY 04. SUNRISE PANANJAKAN - BROMO CRATER - IJEN ( B, L, D)
Early morning at 4 am, by 4WD jeep pass through shimmering sand sea crater floor, drive to Mt. Pananjakan ( 2, 775 meter ASL) . It is a great spot to enjoy spectacular sunrise. Trip then continued by riding on a horse back to climb up till the rim of Mt. Bromo crater. Bromo crater is considered as a sacred place for Hindu community at Bromo and Tengger area and is to throw offering when Kasodo holy ceremony is held. Upon completion, return to hotel for breakfast and packing up, then transfer to Ijen area ( 5 hours driving) . Lunch at local restaurant. Late afternoon arrive at Ijen area and direct check in at guest house. Evening free program.

DAY 05. IJEN CRATER LIGHT TREKKING -DEPARTURE ( B, L)
Early morning ( at 4 am is recommended time) take a short drive from guest house to Ijen ranger post. Start light trekking up to get to Ijen crater ( 3 hours go and back) . Ijen crater is a gigantic crater and is measured 1 km in diameter and 175 meter in depth. A place for traditional sulphur mining. This trip will let you observe how hard working locals carrying full loaded sulphur material with bamboo baskets that weigh 70 - 80 kg, up and down the crater edge. Finished this unforgettable trip return to guest house, take a rest, then pack up and check out. Last, Depart to Ketapang harbor or Surabaya for your next destination. End of service.
