Total Solution For White LED Phosphor, Dott Technology ( www.dott.may.to )
To satisfy the needs of white LED industry, Dott Technology proceeded White LED Phosphor Total Solution Project. To fulfill the LED companies with different development direction or at different stage of development, the best solution is to develop phosphors exhibit various property to combine with different LED or to match various manufacture process. We use K-N Junction Rule deduced from our years’ study in phosphor to help to shorten the time spent on the development and improvement of brightness of phosphor. All the phosphor we made to be used to produce white LED were mass-produced and exhibit highest brightness. Every company with different development direction and requirements for phosphor will have solution here.
There were two key points while using LED to combine with phosphor to produce white light, one is efficient LED and the other is necessity of bright phosphor. Methods using LED combines with phosphor below could be adopted to produce white light:
Blue LED + Yellow phosphor
This is now the mainstream to produce white light. CIE coordinates of phosphor will affect the emitted white light to be more yellow or blue. Use of various additive, activator and different synthesis process can tune the emission of phosphor. It was noted that improvement of emission intensity of phosphor will be limited by the material composition itself to a limit. We supply ultra-bright YAG, TAG and Zex yellow phosphor to combine with blue LED to produce white light.
Purple LED + Special Phosphor
According to our tests, emission brightness of purple LED combines with phosphor we developed is much higher than Blue LED + Yellow Phosphor, the emission of Purple LED + Special Phosphor is harsh to the eye. Consider the much higher brightness and patent, we thought that the combination of purple LED and phosphor would be a new trend. Dott Technology’s phosphor exhibit highest emission brightness and were mass-produced and were intellectual property protected.
Ultraviolet LED ( 365 ~ 385 nm ) + R,G,B Phosphor
We have developed R,G,B, tricolor phosphor to be excited by 365 ~ 385 nm UV to combine with 365 ~ 385 nm UV LED. Company develop ultraviolet LED have high quality phosphor to use.
Ultraviolet LED ( ~ 254 nm ) + Phosphor
If there were high efficiency 254 nm emission LED, there were two methods could be adopted to produce white light. First is to mix 254 nm excited R,G,B phosphors to produce white light. We supply R,G,B phosphors with various host composition and highest brightness. The other is to use a special phosphor to combine with 254 nm LED. Such phosphor is a single material can emit white light under 254 nm UV excitation, don’t need to mix R,G,B color to produce white light. We have developed various host type of such phosphor and can control the property ( color temperature, CIE … ) of emitted white light.
