of a thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. The product is purified from E. coli cells carrying a cloned pol gene from thermus aquaticus. It the same function as native Taq DNA Polymerase. Catalyzes 5' ’ 3' synthesis of DNA. The enzyme proofreading exonuclease activity, and posseses low 5' ’ 3' exonuclease activity
