Description
This course covers the fundamentals, mechanisms and the main causes of the corrosion in the oil and gas production system. It also covers the corrosion control and monitoring method used in the oil and gas production system The course contains practical examples of the oil and gas industry.
OBJECTIVE
At the end of the course, the participants will:
⢠Identify the corrosion mechanism and estimate and predict the corrosion rate
⢠Select material for different corrosion environments
⢠Evaluate and select corrosion inhibitor for different corrosion environments
⢠Estimate the erosion rate
⢠Select corrosion monitoring techniques
⢠Elaborate a corrosion management plan for pipelines
