Haglof DME 201
The Distance Measurer that makes measuring a pleasure.
With this pocket size, omnidirectional digital instrument, you will save time, labor and effort. The DME 201 uses ultrasonic pulses which shoot through brush and leaves to determine the distance anywhere in a 360 degree circle from the transponder. One person alone can attain accurate measurements + / - 1% in feet or meters anywhere measuring is needed. The DME 201 works great in plot sampling, building dimensions, timber cruising, etc. A built-in sensor automatically compensates for changes in temperature.
To use, simply place the monopod at the intended centerpoint, and mount the transponder on the clip. The transponder is automatically activated when pushed to its lower position on the clip. To obtain a measurement, point the instrument towards the transponder, press the button once, and hold the instrument steady until a reading is presented on the digital display.
English/ metric readings.
Requires 1 AA battery for the Transponder and 1 9V battery for the Instrument. Batteries are included. Replacements sold below.
Complete unit includes the measuring instrument, the transponder, a plot center staff and a tripod adapter used to mount the transponder on the plot center staff. Can also be mounted on a standard photgrapher' s tripod.
