Under normal fumed silica amorphous flocculent white semi transparent solid colloidal silica nanoparticles ( particle size less than 100nm) , non-toxic, has a huge surface area. All of fumed silica nano-silica, 99% purity, particle size of up to 10 ~ 20nm, but the preparation of complex and expensive; precipitated silica is divided into traditional and special precipitated silica precipitation white carbon black, the former refers to sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, CO2 and water glass as the basic raw materials of silica, which is using gravity technology, sol - gel process, chemical crystals, secondary crystallization or RP microemulsion micelles and other special method of production of silicon dioxide. Precipitated silica is mainly used for natural rubber and synthetic rubber reinforcing agent, toothpaste friction agent. Fumed silica is mainly used as rubber reinforcing agent, coatings and unsaturated resin thickener, ultrafine silica gels and aerogels is mainly used for coating matting agents, thickeners, plastic film opening agent.
