Established in July 2003, Lutai Economic Development Zone was ratified by Hebei Peopleâ € ™ s Government as a provincial development zone reformed from state-owned Farm. Adjacent to Tianjin Binhai New Area, Lutai Economic Development Zone beteewn Beijing and Tianjin is located in Tianjin Ninghe County. It is â € œ one exclaveâ € � of Hebei embedding into Tianjin with a total area of 133 square kilometers and population of 41000.
Located in Tianjin, Lutai Economic Development zone is in Jing-Jin-Tang golden region, 10 kilometers from Tianjin Binhai New Area and 15 kilometers of China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city in the south, 50 kilometers from Caofeidian New Area in the east, 12 kilometers west of Qilihai Wetland ratified as the typical wetland and nationally natural protective region by the State Council. Tang-Cheng Expressway crosses through Bin-Bao Expressway, and 205 National Highway crosses over the zone. High-speed railways from Beijing to Tangshan and from Tianjin to Tangshan is surrounding the zone. Taking great effort to Tianjin Port, Caofeidian Port and Binhai international airport, the traffic advantages is evident to form the convenient traffic network taking half an hour to arrive at the airport and port and taking one hour to arrive at Tianjin and Beijing.
