The principles of metal detector are to use electromagnetic induction to sense all metal materials including ferrous and nonferrous with high sensitivity. Ferromagnetic metallic will affect the fixed range of magnetic flux in the way of disturbing the distribution of magnetic lines of force when going into detection area. If the non-ferromagnetic metallic went through the detection area, it will produce the eddy current effect which will also influence the distribution of magnetic field.
